We were moving across country. This was a bit small for my fat cats but they used it nonetheless. It was water proof and at night after we would leave a hotel we could just clean it, zip it up, and use it again the next evening.
I use to hall around my cats actual litter box to hotels we would stay at when road tripping and also to use when I would spend a week at moms house. IT. WAS. A. CHORE. I ordered this for easier hold when I was unloading at a hotel. It was magical. My cat is on my back in her backpack carrier, I have one hand rolling my suitcase and one hand holding this litter box like a suitcase.
This saved my bacon on my 5 day, 4 night move from WA State to AR. It gave me a place I could unzip whenever I needed to to let my cat do her business.
Very happy with this litter box as it made traveling with cats much more feasible. It arrived quickly (right on schedule). The size it great for traveling. It held the litter (and everything) without leaking while zipped.
This was great for travel !! I reccomend introducing your cat to it before a trip- and using litter that chunks with pee- or I use pine litter which also worked well (not to mention more natural, and the pine pebbles become almost like saw dust with pee- and low odor). The portable litter box easily zips closed
